Christmas Love!

Christmas would have to be my most favourite time of the year, especially this year as we were able to celebrate Christmas with baby O. His very first Christmas!!!

We made a start this week on our little renovation project. We painted the room a beautiful bright white and pulled up all the horrendous carpet. The floorboards look a little "art studio" at the moment but we are in the process of getting quotes for them to be sanded and polished... I am still working out what colour to do them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The week in summary

What a CRAZY fortnight!!!! I'm sorry I have been absent for the past few weeks with the lead up to Christmas, a newborn baby and Mr. P graduating from Medicine it has been an extremely busy fortnight.

How I started my day 21/12/11: an amazing coffee (by Mr.P), muesli, yoghurt and berries.

Finally arrived today: my order from the book depository, Design Sponge by Grace Bonney. I can not WAIT to read this book. I have been a fan of Grace's blog for a while now and am always finding inspiration from her.

And finally a beautiful Christmas pressie from our good friends, a Pantone mug and espresso cups. LOVE!! We now need to collect a few more colours.

Best be off, need to wrap a few Chrissie pressies.

A Very Happy Little Camper

Yesterday we got back from our week away, it was sad to leave our beach house but also nice to get home. To my delight there were a few goodies in the letterbox (which had built up over the week) 3 of my magazine subscriptions arrived in the one week, how very timely. Inside Out, Australian House & Garden and Real Living.

Whilst away on our little holiday it has given me time to think about what "house projects" we can do.... We bought our house 4 months ago, it was almost completely renovated, the bathrooms and kitchen are done (and more importantly to my liking) however the colour of our walls and the colour of the carpet are a little less to be desired, they vary from cream, to beige, to egg shell ewwwww! I always wanted to get rid of the horrible cream carpet and replace it with a shade of dark grey carpet and paint all the walls a crisp white. However to my complete and utter surprise our carpet is covering original FLOOR BOARDS! Yippee!!

I can not explain the pure excitement that came over me when this discovery was made, my husband was a little less impressed that I was pulling up the carpet in all corners of the room. I am thinking that when we pull up the carpet and sand them back we should have them stained dark or black. What are your thoughts?

Christmas is a little over 2 weeks away and last night Baby O, Charlie the cavoodle and I put up the Chrissy tree.I have not had a chance to do any Chrissy shopping so that will be a priority for me this week.  It will be our first Christmas with Baby O. Mr P and I are looking forward to this Christmas enormously.

In the Pink

I was in sass & bide the other day and instantly fell in LOVE! The new collection "The Winning Day" resort 11 is just divine! So many bright bold colours but was absolutely loving the pinks and corals. I purchased this top.....I just couldn't resist the neon pink cotton and orange stitching, it was just calling for me to buy it.

Happy days

Here is a beautiful family photo of Mr P, Baby O and myself at our amazing beach house. The weather has been glorious! We have been for lots of early morning walks on the beach and Baby O and myself have become regulars at the local coffee shop, while Mr P is out surfing.

Holiday

Next week our new little family ( husband, myself and baby O) are off for our first family holiday! We have rented a beautiful beach house at Boomerang beach, Pacific Palms on the NSW north coast. I am hoping this miserable weather will disappear and there will be plenty of sunshine and warmth so husband (Mr P) can spend some well earned hours surfing and me and baby O can do some beach walks, cafe hoping whilst reading this months mags. I am just about to go and purchase some new swimmers for the post baby bod. Will keep you posted as to what I end up with.

I received an email last night from amazing bespoke bedlinen and home wares label Castle letting me know that the adorable velvet penny round cushions are in and ready to purchase! I am lusting after the fuchsia pink, yellow and turquoise colours......husband I hope you are reading this, Christmas is not to far away....

On another exciting note, Castle are collaborating with my favourite label Gorman, whom I posted about yesterday. This is sure to be a fantastic bright and colourful collaboration. Can't wait!!!

Gorman Love

Today I visited one of my all time favourite Australian labels Gorman and had a little spree!!! The shop was full of the most beautiful bright and bold colours and amazing prints. Here are some of my purchases. The emerald green pants are silk and amazing, the cotton print top is a-line shape and has the most adorable pom pom neckline and the spot tee is a great basic. (I am a sucker for a great tee). I can't wait to wear them.

Today I purchased two new quilt covers for our King bed from POP by Sheridan. I have been looking for some fun and colourful covers for a while. I could not help purchase the blue and white stripe cover as I am just a little obsessed with stripes. Can't wait for these to arrive......Yippee

The Beginning

Well this is my first ever blog and my first ever post! I am rather excited....

I have so much to show and share with you, from fashion and interiors to cosmetics and food to being a mum of the most adorable 6 week old little boy. There is just so much to share that I don't even know where to begin.

Please be patient with my blog page design - this is a work in progress as they say - I am still working out how to navigate the blogger settings.
